About the Institute of Mindful Medicine

The Institute of Mindful Medicine is a ketamine training institute dedicated to helping licensed clinicians integrate functional medicine, neuroplasticity, and mindful ketamine care into clinical practice.

A New Standard for Relationship-Based Medicine

The Institute of Mindful Medicine was created to help clinicians move beyond fragmented care models and toward a more integrated, outcome-driven approach.

At its core, the Institute teaches providers how to support physiology, navigate neuroplastic states responsibly, and help patients convert insight into meaningful change while maintaining clear professional boundaries.

This training is especially valuable for clinicians practicing in private-pay, functional, wellness, and ketamine-based settings where relationship, judgment, and systems design directly impact outcomes.

Our Vision

To establish Mindful Medicine as a trusted clinical standard for providers who want structure, depth, and long-term professional alignment.

Our Mission

To train serious clinicians in a practical, ethical, relationship-based framework that improves patient outcomes and elevates the practice of neuroplastic medicine.

A Better Way to Practice Medicine

Many clinicians have access to therapies, but lack a cohesive framework to apply them effectively. The Institute of Mindful Medicine was created to provide structure, systems, and clinical clarity that support consistent, long-term outcomes.

Lack of Cohesive Framework

Many clinicians have access to therapies but lack a structured system to apply them effectively.

01

Protocols Are Not Enough

Protocols alone do not create consistent outcomes without proper systems and clinical judgment.

02

Need for Structure & Boundaries

Providers need systems, boundaries, and clinical maturity to deliver safe and effective care.

03

More Than a Course

The Institute offers a complete clinical ecosystem designed to support long-term success.

04

The Concept of Neuroexpression

Dr. Brent Agin coined the term Neuroexpression to describe the brain’s ability to express new patterns of thought, emotion, behavior, and healing when physiology, neuroplasticity, and clinical support are aligned.

Nervous System Stabilization

Neuroexpression begins with physiological safety. Patients often struggle to create lasting change when the nervous system remains chronically dysregulated.

Neuroplastic Opportunity

Ketamine-assisted neuroplasticity may create temporary windows where new emotional, cognitive, and behavioral patterns become more accessible.

Patient Integration

Long-term transformation requires structure, reflection, and real-world implementation that helps patients sustain meaningful change over time.

Meet Dr. Brent Agin

Brent Agin, MD, is a nationally recognized physician in functional and regenerative medicine with more than 20 years of clinical experience.

He has trained physicians and advanced practitioners across the country in hormone optimization, IV therapy, peptide therapy, metabolic health, and ketamine therapy.

Through the Institute of Mindful Medicine, Dr. Agin brings together real-world clinical experience, systems-based medicine, and practical provider training designed for implementation—not theory alone.
